After a string of three wins, the Branson Pirates's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Lebanon by a score of 48-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Branson came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Lebanon is ranked 47th).

Noah Boggs was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Carr, who scored 10 points.

Branson's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Lebanon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Branson will head out on the road to face off against Logan-Rogersville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lebanon will be home for the holidays to greet Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Lebanon likes a good challenge.
