Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Raiders vs. Lancaster Tigers

The Skyline Raiders will head out to square off against the Lancaster Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four games, but Tuesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Skyline fell victim to Duncanville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers and Pantherettes, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to Cedar Hill.

Jason Gardner was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Leo Leiva was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Skyline took their win against Lancaster in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 10-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
