After flying high against Clinton on Friday, Mt. Markham came back down to earth. The Mustangs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morris Catholic Crusaders on Saturday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mt. Markham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Jones, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. Lloyton Plummer Jr. also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mt. Markham's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Morris Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Mt. Markham will face off against Holland Patent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Morris Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
