Recap: Star-Spencer Bobcats vs. Kellyville Ponies
The Star-Spencer Bobcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Kellyville, posting a 60-7 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Star-Spencer, who have now won three contests by 45 points or more so far this season.
Leading Star-Spencer to victory were Travion Barber and Braylon Lassitier. Barber rushed for 157 yards on only nine carries, while Lassitier threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Barber was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
Star-Spencer's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Kellyville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Star-Spencer will be playing in front of their home fans against Chandler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chandler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Star-Spencer in Oklahoma (Chandler is ranked 45th, while Star-Spencer is ranked 158th). As for Kellyville, they will head out on the road to face off against Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jones is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
