Inter-Academic recap September 17, 2013
Episcopal Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Caravel. The Churchmen came in at 16 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Germantown Academy scaled the state rankings by moving to 241 from 285 this week, the biggest jump in Inter-Academic. The Patriots climbed the ranks as a result of beating Hill School 43-14.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Episcopal Academy's Ryan Whayland and Evan Butts have proven to be a lethal combination. Whayland has thrown for 409 yards this season, while Butts, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 9 catches for 184 yards. Philip Poquie from Haverford School leads the league in rushing with 184 yards.
William Penn Charter lost to McDonogh 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
