            Basketball Recap: St. John Paul the Great Mountaineers vs. Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            On Tuesday, the St. John Paul the Great Mountaineers came up short against the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles  and fell  59-51.
 Rocky Mountain Lutheran's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Gavin Borchardt, who  dropped  a double-double on 11  points and 14  boards. Borchardt is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down nine or more in the last eight games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Judah Sternhagen, who  went 5 for 8  on his way to 13 points in addition to five  boards and three  steals.
St. John Paul the Great now  has a losing record at 1-2. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their win  ended  a  13-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-8.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John Paul the Great will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on STEAD at 5:00  p.m.  on February 5th. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when  the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles  take on   the Front Range Baptist Falcons at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
