After losing to Martin the last time they met, Lawrence decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lawrence Tigers snuck past the Martin Clippers with a 40-36 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five games in a row.

Lawrence can attribute much of their success to Kaylin Leyva, who posted 11 points.

Lawrence pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Martin, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

Lawrence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-21 loss against Climax-Scotts on the 10th. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
