Softball Game Preview: Los Altos Conquerors vs. San Dimas Saints

The Los Altos Conquerors will head out on the road to square off against the San Dimas Saints at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Los Altos is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Monday, Los Altos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Colony.

Meanwhile, San Dimas didn't have quite enough to beat Alta Loma on Wednesday and fell 5-4.

Audrey Schlim was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Mia Patlan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Villegas, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

San Dimas has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10-1 record this season. As for Los Altos, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

Los Altos came out on top in a nail-biter against San Dimas in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Conquerors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
