Football Game Preview: Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley vs. Cameron County Raiders

Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley is 6-1 against Cameron County since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley will welcome Cameron County at 7:00 p.m. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley's defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so Cameron County's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Reynolds by a score of 22-14.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Max Gallagher and Logan Skibinski. Gallagher gained 82 total yards and two touchdowns while Skibinski gained 111 total yards and a touchdown. Trent Fleming did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Cameron County ended up a good deal behind Smethport on Friday and lost 28-12. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.6 points. As for Cameron County, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Gallagher and Kamden Fragale. Gallagher just won't slow down this season and has run in 17 touchdowns while averaging 108.1 rushing yards per game. Fragale has been a dominant force too and has averaged 81.2 rushing yards per game.

Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley took their win against Cameron County in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 36-12 score. Does Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cameron County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
