Basketball Recap: Teutopolis Wooden Shoes vs. Bloomington Central Catholic Saints

The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 58-46 to Bloomington Central Catholic. If Teutopolis was looking for revenge after losing 48-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bloomington Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Emm led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Emm hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Cate Uhren was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and four steals.

Teutopolis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Teutopolis will be playing at home against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neoga will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Wooden Shoes are ranked 70th). As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
