Football Recap: Corcoran Panthers vs. Boron Bobcats
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Corcoran can now relate to. They took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boron Bobcats on Friday.
Although Corcoran took the loss, they still got scores from Xavier Hernandez and Justin Huerta.
Andrew Gartica continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Boron, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 46 receiving yards. Gartica's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.
Corcoran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Boron, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Corcoran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boron, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-19 win against Kern Valley on the 14th.
