Volleyball Recap: Atascadero Triumphs

Atascadero saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Garces Memorial Rams by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greyhounds.

Atascadero didn't let Garces Memorial take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25.

Ezri Karp paced Atascadero's offense, picking up seven kills. Karp got some help from Cara Howes and her eight assists. Hailey Talley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Atascadero's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Garces Memorial, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3.

Atascadero has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Fresno Christian on the 27th. As for Garces Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Nipomo on the 27th.
