Basketball Game Preview: Bath Wildcats vs. Kenton Wildcats

The Bath Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Kenton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kenton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bath, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Bath beat Columbus Grove 54-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against Liberty-Benton, falling 69-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Eagles are ranked 116th).

Bath pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Kenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Things could have been worse for Bath, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-30 loss to Kenton when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Bath avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
