Football Game Preview: Cotopaxi Pirates vs. North Park Wildcats + How To Watch

The Cotopaxi Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the North Park Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cotopaxi has given up an average of 48.4 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cotopaxi will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points last Saturday, then bounced right back against Mountain Valley on Friday. The Pirates came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 42-33. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pirates' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, North Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-0 loss at the hands of Arickaree. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Cotopaxi's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for North Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Cotopaxi took a serious blow against North Park in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 55-18. Thankfully for the Pirates, Gavin Pittington (who rushed for 224 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
