Football Recap: Southridge Takes a Loss

Southridge lost against Mountainside back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Skyhawks were beaten by the Mavericks 41-7. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Mavericks are ranked 13th).

Southridge dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mountainside, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Southridge is set to square off against their familiar foe Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountainside will challenge rival Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
