Softball Recap: Central Eagles vs. Chesterfield Golden Rams
Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 14-9 to the Chesterfield Golden Rams. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chesterfield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.
Kinsey Mangum was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tashia Quick, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chesterfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Central will head out on the road to face off against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Chesterfield, they will challenge Boyd County at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
