Baseball Recap: Borden Comes Up Short

Borden couldn't beat Orleans on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Braves came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-5. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Borden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was K.J. Simmons, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Michael McVoy was another, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Borden's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Orleans, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, Borden will square off against Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orleans, they will challenge Paoli at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
