Basketball Recap: Kenedy Takes a Loss

Kenedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Agua Dulce Longhorns 88-43.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was William Campbell, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave Campbell a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Tristan Mireles, who had seven points and three steals.

Kenedy's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Agua Dulce, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenedy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Port Aransas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season. As for Agua Dulce, they will face off against La Villa at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Agua Dulce has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
