Baseball Recap: Mission Bears vs. Lincoln Mustangs
Mission extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 6-18 in the process. They came up short against the Lincoln Mustangs, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-3 loss back in March.
Mission saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowan Powell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
On Lincoln's side, Branson Derrington made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
