Basketball Recap: Mia Hurford Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Plymouth

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Glenn walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies out 37-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since December 17, 2024.

Glenn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Hurford led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Hurford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dre Weddington, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 15 points and five boards.

Glenn is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Plymouth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Glenn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 36-30 win against Mishawaka Marian on the 7th. Plymouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
