Schurr waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Bell Gardens Lancers get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won seven matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Melina Sanchez was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
