Baseball Game Preview: Kaiser Cougars vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

For the second straight game, Kaiser will face off against Roosevelt. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rough Riders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Kaiser 2.8, Roosevelt 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Kaiser is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Roosevelt, who was ranked 19th at the time (Kaiser was ranked sixth). The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Rough Riders 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

For Roosevelt's part, Kayden Tolentino was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Kyson Murata was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Kaiser's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Roosevelt, they moved to 5-4-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
