Baseball Game Preview: Denver Cyclones vs. South Hardin Tigers

The Denver Cyclones will head out on the road to take on the South Hardin Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Denver managed to slip by West Marshall the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cyclones came up short against the Trojans on Friday, falling 14-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Cyclones were not able to get on the board.

South Hardin not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since June 17, 2024 (when they won 14-3). They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over West Fork. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the game before.

The victory got South Hardin back to even at 1-1. As for Denver, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Denver skirted past South Hardin 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cyclones since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
