Tylin Jenkins leads Hannah-Pamplico to victory over Latta

Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Raiders vs. Latta Vikings

A well-balanced attack led the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders over the Latta Vikings in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Hannah-Pamplico put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 61-38 victory. Hannah-Pamplico pushed the score to 43-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings had little chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Tylin Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamar Eaddy, who scored 15 points along with four steals.

Latta lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being J.P. Bley, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Kartrell Townsend, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.

The win got Hannah-Pamplico back to even at 8-8. As for Latta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannah-Pamplico will face off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Latta is on the road again on Friday and plays the Silver Foxes at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Lamar is ranked 282nd, while the Vikings are ranked 289th).
