Recap: Beechcroft Cougars vs. Rogers Rams
Even though the Rogers Rams scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, the Beechcroft Cougars still came out on top. Beechcroft snuck past Rogers with a 62-57 win. This was payback for Beechcroft, who suffered a 65-58 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beechcroft to victory, but perhaps none more so than Santonio Dortch, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rosean Burns, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds.
Beechcroft's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beechcroft will take on South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rogers, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowling Green at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
