Baseball Recap: Jensen Beach Comes Up Short

Jensen Beach lost against Benjamin back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jensen Beach Falcons fell just short of the Benjamin Buccaneers by a score of 5-4. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Preston Honea was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

Jensen Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Benjamin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Jensen Beach Falcons face off against George Jenkins Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Benjamin, they will take on Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
