Basketball Recap: Verden Takes a Loss

Verden lost against Alex back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Verden Tigers were beaten by the Alex Longhorns 59-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Longhorns are ranked 135th).

Verden has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Alex, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

As of now, neither Verden nor Alex have any future games scheduled.
