Recap: Madison-Grant Argylls vs. Bluffton Tigers
The Madison-Grant Argylls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 45-38 to Bluffton. Madison-Grant was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bluffton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Defeat or not, Madison-Grant got some senior leadership from Gavin Kelich and Clayton Hull. Kelich scored 12 points along with four steals, while Hull. scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Stanley, who scored six points.
Madison-Grant struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Madison-Grant has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Madison-Grant and Wes-Del will face off at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Wes-Del is ranked 368th, while Madison-Grant is ranked 357th). As for Bluffton, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastbrook is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
