Basketball Recap: Kings Mountain Comes Up Short

Kings Mountain lost against Stuart W. Cramer back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kings Mountain Mountaineers had to suffer through a 62-18 loss at the hands of the Stuart W. Cramer Storm. The Mountaineers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-10.

Christiana Williams was Kings Mountain's leading scorer, having posted five points. La'Zya Byrd held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Hailey Dixon-Velez took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Oshauna Holland continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Stuart W. Cramer, almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, nine boards, and ten assists. Holland is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 48 games she's played dating back to last season. Hadley Womack was another key player, going 8 for 12 en route to 18 points and five steals.

Kings Mountain is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18. As for Stuart W. Cramer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

Kings Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-32 loss against Ashbrook on the 31st. Stuart W. Cramer has also already played their next game, a 92-56 win against Forestview on the 29th.
