Softball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Bishop Lynch

Legacy Christian Academy won the last time they faced Bishop Lynch and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles blew past the Friars 20-1. Considering the Eagles have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Blair Ehmer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ehmer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Legacy Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Lynlee Kennedy, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Mallary Renner was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Legacy Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Legacy Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Bishop Lynch, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17.
