Softball Recap: St. Mary's Springs Takes a Loss

St. Mary's Springs was the 5-1 winner over Laconia when they last played one another on April 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Ledgers took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Tuesday. The Ledgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Laconia, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Mary's Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Campbellsport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Laconia will face off against rival Lomira at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.5, the Lions 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
