After only one run in their last contest, Mallard Creek made sure to put some runs up on the board against Harding University on Friday. The Mavericks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Rams a 14-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mavericks also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Mallard Creek let JeHue Alston and Maximus Miller run wild. Alston scored two runs while going 1-for-1, while Miller scored two runs while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Brissie, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Mallard Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mallard Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Harding University, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Mallard Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair will be back at it again later today.
