The Randallstown Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Franklin Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randallstown is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Randallstown fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Parkville on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-4.
Elijah Lee put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 8.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to Eastern Tech.
Randallstown's record now sits at 4-6. As for Franklin, their record is now 4-10-1.
Randallstown took their victory against Franklin when the teams last played back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 13-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randallstown since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
