Basketball Recap: Glascock County Panthers vs. Hancock Central Bulldogs
Glascock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 100-22 loss at the hands of the Hancock Central Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-33 on January 9th.
Hancock Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryston Reynolds, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Reynolds a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Na'Jee Reynolds, who scored 15 points.
Glascock County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Hancock Central, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Glascock County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hancock Central, they will welcome Johnson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hancock Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Johnson County likes a good challenge.
