Denver City proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Llano Yellowjackets 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five games in a row.

Denver City's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Llano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Denver City will take on Paradise in a tournament on Friday. As for Llano, they will challenge Breckenridge at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
