Softball Recap: Forestview Takes a Loss

Forestview lost against Kings Mountain back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jaguars lost 7-1 to the Mountaineers. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Forestview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Cabe, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Kings Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Forestview is set to square off against their familiar foe South Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kings Mountain will take on rival Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
