Volleyball Recap: Valparaiso Triumphs

Valparaiso picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fort Wayne South Side Archers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

While Valparaiso won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Owen Morris paced Valparaiso's offense, picking up 14 kills. Morris got some help from Henry Danko and his ten assists. Morris also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Camden Rasmussen, racking up two apiece.

Valparaiso's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Valparaiso didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Westville on the 26th. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 26th.
