Benton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pine Bluff recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Benton Panthers will head out to take on the Pine Bluff Zebras at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Benton has five straight wins, Pine Bluff has 43 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Benton had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Hot Springs on Tuesday. Benton blew past Hot Springs 59-33. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pine Bluff had to suffer through a 51-19 loss at the hands of White Hall. While losing is never fun, the Zebras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 80th).

Benton's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Pine Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 0-25.

Everything came up roses for Benton against Pine Bluff in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 67-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
