Taylor has gone a perfect 9-0 against Hermitage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Hermits at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Taylor has seven straight victories, Hermitage has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Tuesday, Taylor got the win against Columbia Christian by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hermitage came up short against Bradley on Tuesday and fell 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hermits have lost by exactly three runs.

Taylor pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Taylor took their win against Hermitage in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
