Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Aggies vs. Hatton Hornets + How To Watch

The Hamilton Aggies and the Hatton Hornets will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Hatton likes a good challenge.

Hamilton took a 21-point defeat the last time they faced off against Winfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Aggies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates on Friday, sneaking past 56-53. The 56-point effort marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hatton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They breezed past Central to the tune of 62-34 on Friday. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hamilton's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for Hatton, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-3.
