Baseball Game Preview: Roseburg Indians vs. West Salem Titans

The Roseburg Indians will venture away from home to challenge the West Salem Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roseburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so West Salem's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Roseburg's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when North Medford hitters got past them. The Indians came up short against the Black Tornado on Saturday, falling 10-3. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, West Salem fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Aloha on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Like the Indians, the Titans also had to let a streak go: they had won three straight, but that streak is no more.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 9-4. As for West Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Roseburg couldn't quite get it done against West Salem in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
