Basketball Game Preview: Polytech Panthers vs. Milford Buccaneers

Polytech and Milford are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Polytech Panthers will challenge the Milford Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Polytech is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Pocomoke. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 34th in Delaware, while the Warriors are ranked 183rd in Maryland).

While Milford didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 55-50 W over Crisfield on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Polytech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Milford, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Polytech came up short against Milford in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 52-47. Can Polytech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
