Soccer Recap: Fort Plain Comes Up Short

Fort Plain lost against Berne-Knox-Westerlo back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Fort Plain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Berne-Knox-Westerlo are ranked 131st).

Fort Plain's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Plain will square off against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, they will face off against Mekeel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
