Baseball Recap: Graves County Victorious

It was close, but on Saturday the Graves County Eagles sidestepped the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots for a 7-6 victory.

Graves County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Graves County and St. Louis HomeSchool P should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Eagles will take on Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 105). Meanwhile, St. Louis HomeSchool P (ranked 129th) will meet Valmeyer (ranked 344th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
