Volleyball Recap: Creekside Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Creekside won the last time they faced Tocoi Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. Creekside came out on top against Tocoi Creek by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Tocoi Creek scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 28-26, 26-28, 25-19.

Luis Almanzar paced Creekside's offense, picking up 13 kills. Almanzar got some help from Andrew Bennie and his 34 assists. Bennie also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Alexis Soto, racking up two apiece.

Creekside's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Tocoi Creek, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside will take on Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tocoi Creek, they will welcome Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tocoi Creek is facing Menendez at the right time seeing as Menendez is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
