After a string of seven wins, Springfield's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 49-40 to the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones. The Senators were not able to make up for their loss to the Cyclones from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Springfield likes a good challenge. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they will face off against Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
