Baseball Recap: Natchez Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Natchez finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 23-1 to Franklin County. It was the first time this season that Natchez let down their fans at home.

Natchez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ahmarrion Fletcher, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Natchez fell to 3-1. As for Franklin County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Natchez will head out to challenge Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Natchez surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin County, they will welcome West Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
