Hale Ray had won five straight games and Maggie Janecek did her part to make it six on Wednesday. The Noises blew past the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars 3-0 with plenty of help from Janecek, who had nine digs and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Hale Ray never let Haddam-Killingworth on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9, 29-27.

Hale Ray's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they dropped their record down to 0-19 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
