Baseball Game Preview: Buckeye Hawks vs. Willow Canyon Wildcats

The Buckeye Hawks will face off against the Willow Canyon Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Buckeye and three for Willow Canyon.

Canyon View hit Buckeye with a 16-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks lost 19-1 to the Jaguars.

Buckeye saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mayco Morales, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Willow Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat Verrado on Friday and fell 2-1.

Jackson Duce was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Buckeye's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
