The Brooks Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Simeon Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Brooks barely beat Morgan Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Mustangs on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Colin White was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three doubles and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Slaughter, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Simeon earned a 14-10 win over Solorio on Wednesday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Sun Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Simeon got a massive performance out of Aiden Pondexter, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The Wolverines are undefeated when Pondexter posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Quincy Washington was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Simeon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Brooks' record now sits at 12-9. As for Simeon, their record is now 11-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Brooks has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Simeon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Brooks suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to Simeon when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
